You’ve managed to write everything I’ve thought about everyday I have taken pictures for the past 20 years

Wonderful advice. And when you get old like me, it’s those ordinary moments that are the most special. .

Really enjoyed this! The idea of photographing daily life without the pressure of ‘documentary photography’ resonates with me. Sometimes the most meaningful images come from simply observing and preserving moments for ourselves. Question - do you find that revisiting these unpublished images over time changes how you see them?

Thank you, yes it does. I see this kind of work as time travel.

I agree with you so much. Documenting everyday life is important.

PS: videos from 15-20 years ago should be recoverable.

Hello Andrew, great post. One of the surprises to me now that I'm in my 60s is to realise that I didn't know what moments/episodes from my life would become lasting memories, often - at the time - they seemed very ordinary. Not to mention that photographing the every day makes one appreciate the everyday that much more.
