Good stuff, as always. It's been decades since I used this technique. These days, I struggle more with low contrast, thin negatives, for some reason.

Thanks Troy. Have you tried upping your processing time by about 15%?

Yes. I’ve been getting that, plus only approx ISO160, out of TriX with Rodinal for some reason.

Just keep increasing your dev time until you get the contrast you are after.

The technique that have used is to establish the pre-flash time ( set aperture, known enlarger head height, no negative , no diffuser, out of focus) and write the time on the box of paper. I’ve tried this with paper negatives to reduce the contrast. Reasonable approach?
