Interesting article, Andrew, thank you. I know I've seen the exhibition, but I can't for the life of me now, remember when. It's funny that you should have bumped into your friend again on that day. Great stuff.

First off, your hair was magnificent! Second, I always love how photos change their meaning as they get older. What were once just technically proficient snaps now have an aura of history. Perhaps folks at the mill, especially the daughter, would like to see these now?

Thanks Troy, yes, I’m going to ring the gallery tomorrow and give her a link to this article.

Really nice. I visited Saltaire twice on business but did get a good look around. A cable set top box vendor called Eldon was there and I was visiting from the US touting business. Fascinating place. The engineer I visited was quite northern, invited us to a pub for lunch where I saw him down three pints before heading back to work. I would have been asleep at my desk after that!

Thanks for some memories.

Fantastic, Andrew. You've got a great memory of the finer details from 39 years ago. Nice work balancing flash with the ambient light, all in sharp focus. Nice one. I'd never have recognised you from the last picture.
