It’s interesting how we assign weight to certain words. I am always reluctant to call myself a photographer because it’s not my profession. This past weekend I went to a local estate sale and found many darkroom items. When it was my turn to check out, the cashier asked if I was a photographer and I said yes, but I felt like an imposter. Maybe it’s just a me thing.
Good read. Confidence comes from discipline. As you say, not releasing an image on the world until it’s ready. Discipline in every aspect from the precognition, to taking , to the printing. I’m as guilty of cutting corners only to end up disappointed with the outcome and the fact that I should have known better.

I had a very nice compliment about my writing yesterday and it felt odd because I don’t think of myself as a writer.
Why are we so hard on ourselves?

A good point Adrian.
Interesting, I was thinking this topic these days. ( I guess internet reads our mind now) Thank you!
Haha, yes, I have been thinking that recently too.
